Recently, grower champagnes, made by individual vignerons and putting the accent on individual vintages and vineyards, have become much more fashionable. "Brut" (and "Extra Brut") are the most regarded types of Champagne and the driest. Extra Dry, Sec and Demi-Sec and doux are each slightly sweeter wines.
