Such a whirlwind of a nose on this complex and seductive pinot noir. Impressive, compelling and seemingly...

Hardie's 2010 Niagara pinot was sourced mainly from benchland vineyards in Vineland (Twenty Mile Bench), with the...

The calcareous clay, the edgy stone, the molt of the earth. Dense, cluttered and clamorous fruit. A different animal...

The 2010 Norman Hardie Unfiltered Pinot Noir has intense aromas of anise, smoked meat, clove on the nose and pomegranate, red currant and vanilla on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine, with checked acidity, refined tannins and a long finish. Though food friendly, drink this wine on its own; drink now – 2018. My impression: BEAUTIFUL to DIVINE, 92-93 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted at 'Taste Ontario 2013' http://grapeselections.com/taste-ontario-2013/ in October/13.

Just beautiful. Loads of fruit while avoiding the sweetness that's typical of new world pinots. Lot of interest in the earthy, smokey and spicy genre ... all layer on a lengthy, poised palate. Worth the indulgence.

Nice smoky, meaty notes that mingle with cherry-tobacco and raspberry with hints of minerality. It stays lean with pronounced acidity and finishes with perfect structure. Needs about three years to round out. This was my runner-up, for the best Pinot of 2013! See the video review at www.niagarawinevideos.com

Smoky, meaty and vegetal aromas that are of high intensity. Sour cherry, mineral and clove spice flavour on the palate. Very good acids. Medium-bodied with firm tannins and long, silky smooth finish. Very well balanced overall. Tasted Apr/2014.
