Medium-deep ruby colour. Nose of red cherry, plum and liquorice root. A dry wine, with medium-full body and firmer tannin. The alcohol was tagged as 14.6% but the heat wasn’t felt. A nice balance of tart cherry, blackberry, liquorice and sweet spice. Good balance and a medium length. Oct 2012
