Megha Jandhyala – My “only one” this week is the 2024 Cape Barren Native Goose, a GSM blend from McClaren Vale. Cosy and colourful, it is perfectly suited to chilly fall weather. I love its open and inviting flavour profile, with familiar notes of pepper, dried woody herbs, and lush red berries and plums. Even more appealing perhaps, is its warm, supple, and plush palate, and its long and delightfully peppery finish. I would buy a few bottles of this wine to have on hand for a casual and comforting night in.
