George Brown College Wine Symposium with Keynote Speaker Steven Spurrier

An exploration of trends in the World of Wine.

On Monday, June 24, George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts hosts their annual wine symposium, a gathering dedicated to exploring the wine industry in today’s economy that brings preeminent industry leaders, experts, connoisseurs, and wine-lovers together. Steven Spurrier, Chairman of the Decanter World Wine Awards, will set the tone with his keynote address. Master Sommeliers Elyse Lambert MS, Christopher Bates MS, John Szabo MS, Jennifer Huether MS, and Pier-Alexis Soulière MS will lead guided tasting sessions and thought-provoking discussions. This year’s presenters, delivering insight into such topics as sustainability, digital innovation, and the evolving customer experience, will include George Soleas, President & CEO of the LCBO; Jake Lewis, Global Beverage Director of Momofuku Restaurants; and Sandra Taylor, CEO of Sustainable Business International. Join winemakers, winery owners, restaurateurs, sommeliers, agents, enthusiasts and students for an interactive day filled with discussions, workshops and presentations!
