Steve (88): This is consistently from year to year a good value typical Chianti that rarely disappoints. It is not that complex but it is exactly what Chianti should be: Great to drink with all manner of cuisine, Italian included. Expect aromas of red cherry fruit with tomato leaf, raspberry jam and sweet basil plus some forest floor accents. It is balanced with a lemony tone to the juicy fruit and just enough tannin for balance. It finishes dry with good to very good length. Best 2014 to 2017. Tasted November 2014.
