Here's a classy, elegant, very refined Margaux, unsurprisingly, considering it's the second wine of Rauzan-Segla in a...

A very full throttle Ségla showing its power here. There is some musky-dustiness and dry tacky tannins here but it is...

Lovely red cherry, floral, wet forest floor, and earthy aromas. The medium-bodied palate is classy with soft, smooth, refined tannins and very good acidity. The balanced flavour profile mimics the nose. Elegant, harmonious and showing plenty of finesse. Forest floor with hints of barnyard on the long finish, with excellent length. Enjoy until 2024. Tasted Sept/2019.

While this is a very smooth and refined wine, I did not get the light perfumed taste I expect from a Margaux. Very pleasant, but not woth the price.
