Good value from Western Australia, this shows a fairly generous nose of cassis, chocolate mint, a touch of earthiness...

New-styled Aussie cabernet that shows fresher fruit, good acidities and grippier tannin. And I like the shift. This...

With lots of fruit, including cherry, there is also good complexity. I get a little pepper on the finish. There is nothing in it to complain about. Excellent value.

Even after a one hour decant this was still somewhat green on the nose. The flavour was reasonable but uninspiring for a $22 wine, not much depth/complexity. Short finish. Decent at $15. Not worth $22. Not a repeat buy.

This wine delivers an aromatic profile that is powerful and seductive while not over the top. Loads of cracked peppercorn on a bed and slightly cooked dark fruit and minty/herbs. On the palate, it has good acidity to cut through the extraction and almost succeeds in bringing it all together from attack to mid palate (it is slightly jumbled), which would have allotted this a 90-91 pt score. New world Cabernet with acidity ripping through the spice/herb/fruit profile, great stuff.
