Great value for a well balanced easy drinking Italian red wine. Expect mild aromas of red cherry fruit with mushroom...

This has good flavour intensity for the money, and good length as well. But it has quite meaty, tarry aromas around...

A really excellent red for the price, not sophisticated or complicated but a nice clean red that everyone can enjoy. Good for catering large events

I understand this is the best selling Italian wine at LCBO but there are a lot better Italian $7 wines on the shelf right next to this one. (Try Farnese Fantini Sangiovese and Casal Thaulero Sangiovese). I found it drinkable but a tad unbalanced and with a slightly harsh/acrid finish. Perhaps it needs the right food to compliment it but I'd say if you are looking for something versatile or to drink on its own, keep looking.
