This is an eminently drinkable, quite delicious if rather sweet style of pinot noir. The colour is deep ruby. The nose is perfumed with ripe black cherry-strawberry jam fruit typical of Carneros, plus vanilla and light smoke. It's mid-weight, quite delicate and almost silky on the palate, with super-polished tannin. The finish is warm but the fruit powers through with good acidity catching hold on the finish.
