Located in the lovely Bannockburn district, Akarua was the first Central Otago winery to win an Air New Zealand Wine Award, putting Central Otago Pinot Noir on the map. Lighter bodied and made in an easier drinking style, the wine has bright cherry fruit and good concentration, with fresh acidity and well-balanced oak (10% new oak).
