This is a very good shiraz for under $17 with a structure and elegance that will improve with further bottle age....

Quite a powerful nose of dark fruit mint and eucalyptus and even a bit of pastrami. The palate is dense but balanced with cherry and mint flavours predominating. The alcohol is well integrated and the length average to medium. There is a certain lack of subtlety/layered-ness that keeps it below 90 for me but I still enjoyed this quite a bit and would agree that this wine punches above its price. Great value in the dark, dense new world shiraz category.
