This is a firm, juicy, old world style wine from Inniskillin, with dusty tannins, juicy acidity and moderate alcohol....

Nice dark fruit on the nose with some spice. Continues on the palate with some dried fruit and a hint of chocolate added plus soft tannins and medium length.

I'm getting scents of cranberry and spice through the alcohol-evident aroma. The texture is smooth with a juicy tannin that leads to a lingering spicy finish. Not the most sophisticated Meritage I’ve tried but may improve with a few years in the cellar. Tasted 06-Nov-2010 at the winery.
