I've had both this and the '04 vintage and I must say, the 2000 was miles ahead in terms of tasting pleasure. Enjoyed with Spaghetti Bolognese, this example was much less acidic and showed a combination of sour cherry, strawberry hints of tar. Overall, not bad but I expect more from a Barolo.
