The aromas immediately had me thinking that this was going to be another one of (though slightly more subdued)those overly concentrated, austere and almost asparagus concentrate laden languedocs that i despise. On the palate i was pleasantly surprised by the fruit and silkiness, but it is still an offshoot of that overdone style
