Solid, easy drinking sparkling wine made in the traditional style at a fair price
Description: Light straw in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose. This wine features light toast, lemon, green apples, pear, lime, peach and white flowers on the nose. Medium body with good acidity and a long length.
Negatives: None
Drink now or in the next 5 of years, on its own or pair it with Seared Scallops.

The 2009 Château Des Charmes Brut Methode Traditionelle (year is not displayed on the bottle) is composed of equal amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that was aged on lees for over 3 years using the traditional method. It has captivating aromas of lime, minerality and subtle lees on the nose and gooseberry and subtle raspberry on the palate. It is a medium bodied, lightly sweet, fruity wine; BALANCED with refreshing acidity, fine effervescence and a medium to long finish. Enjoy this wine on-its-own; dink now-2018+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts – recommended for its quality and value – excellent choice for the upcoming festivities. Tasted Nov/13.

This blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir has a ripe, medium+ intensity nose of lemon citrus, apple, and pear aromas, plus hints of flinty mineral and melon adding interest and complexity. It's medium-full bodied, dry, and creamy with a somewhat firm mouthfeel and lovely citrusy, toasty, fruity, citrus, apple, and pear flavours. It has very good acidity, along with fine and persistent bubbles. Leesy and toasty notes linger on the long, savoury finish. Tasted Sept. 2026. Score: 90+ pts
