Notes from the '15 vintage:
A mere 12% ABV (this is from the Douro, right?), clearly due to relatively early picking as Dirk prefers that. Leaner, fresher, livelier than most Douros, with notes of red fruit, oak well controlled (despite 22 months French oak)and brisk acidity and tannin on the finish. A blend of Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca, Rufete amongst others. I suspect that this will show better in another couple of years but very good now. Tasted June 2020.
