Wow!! This wine is hitting on all cylinders. Let it breathe for about 45 mins and it kept going over two hours. I had all but given up on this given its age, totally wrong.

(89?) - needs time to open up. This wine from Calatayud is so different from the wines produced in the Rioja area. This specific wine is not a typical old-world wine. Very fruity - Lots of dark fruit flavors - blackberries and blueberries folllowed by hints of cassis and a spicy finish.
I found it to be more interesting with food that just by itself.
