Fragrant, sweet aromas of raspberry jam, blackberry, violet, sage, vanilla, white pepper, baking spices, and some forest floor. Wonderfully restrained and elegant on the palate, with the fruit repeating as fresh and not jammy. Medium body, medium, silky tannins, and medium high acidity. Long finish

Just returned from a visit and tasting at the Le Vieux Pin and couldn't agree more with J. Szabo. The Violette is a light syrah with a lovely nose and light tannins. So enjoyable that I had some shipped back to ON. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Okanagon. Also try Church & State, Stoneboat and Fairview, Wild Goose, too.
