Great value in a well structured southern French blend of syrah, carignan and grenache. It is a quite firm, dry young...

Fairly intense nose offering aromas of dark red fruit jam, leather, smoke, wet newspaper and resinous notes. Also on burn.

On the palate, this is quite brooding with flavours of dried herbs, tart cherry, red fruit chutney, spices. Good length on the finish.

Tasted October 2016.

Ripe black plum, blackberry and dark cherry aromas from the cork. This blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah has earthy mineral aromas that give way to blackberry and currant, with herbal and gentle baking spice accents. Quite dense on the full bodied palate with currant, herbally, dark berry, and boysenberry flavours. Acids are mouth-watering and the fine tannins are a touch drying. Finish length is very good. Approachable now, but should improve in 1-2 years and enjoy over the next half dozen years. Tasted Oct/2016.
