A nice juicy, full flavoured wine

Description: Dark ruby in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose. This complex wine features cedar, black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, dried thyme, cassis, anise, espresso, bell peppers, arugula, pencil shavings, turmeric and leather. Medium+ body with medium to medium+ tannins, good acidity and a long length.

Negatives: None

Drink now or in the next 7 years on its own or pair it with thyme glazed lamb shank served with turmeric saffron and pear tomato salsa.

The 2011 Dry Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, composed 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc sourced from the Dry Creek Valley and aged in French, American and Hungarian oak (30% new) for 18 months; has seductive aromas of eucalyptus, red currant, black cherry and vanilla on the nose and blackberry, black cherry, vanilla and oak on the palate. It is a medium to full bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity to integrated wine; with refreshing acidity, grippy tannins and a long, oaky finish. This is a sipping wine; drink now and for the next 5+ years (cork enclosure). My impression: NICE, 89 pts.
