Very pretty, perfumed floral nose bursting with violets and a touch of wood. Great complexity for the money. Reminiscient of good baco nose, perhaps due to sharing a non-vinifera heritage?

I really enjoyed this wine. Full bodied, light sweetness but still had the dry finish I like.

cab franc + blend

This is a review of the 2008 blend. Tasted April, 2010.

Interesting that 10% Zweigelt was added to this blend as I do not believe it was part of the blend in the 2007 Red Eco Trail.

It was a bit too herbaceous and green for my taste which may have been from the 2008 Cab Franc, perhaps the Zweigelt was added to the blend to correct this.

I loved Pelee Island's 2007 Eco Trail red .... this one just wasn't as good.
