Dec 2019: Showing much better than 7 years ago, more open...still a bit too much oak, but very fine.
Dec 2012:Slightly closed on first opening, this left bank red from the first vintage of the century of the new century exibits notes of cassis, cool Pauillac black fruits and notable vanilla. Tannin is smooth but plenty of life left. Very good wine, but somehow missing the character and depth one expects in a 93-point Parker wine. I have two more bottles, still to be decided whether to hold them or trade them. Drink this wine now or hold up 10 more years. Tasted Dec 2012.
