This amarone (tasted from a half bottle) shows classic, rugged, down-on-the-farm, rich amarone character. Deep black...

High alcohol (15%), intense, medium acidity, kirsch, raisiny fruit, chewy tannins, long bitter finish.

Hard to believe the price point on this one. A very smooth Amarone, fruity but in a good way. 2004 is significantly better vintage than the 2005, don't let those sneaky waiters pass off an '05 as an '04!
