Wow what a delicious, electric, California chardonnay. The Freestone spends 14 months in French oak - 55% new and 45% goes into two to three-year-old barrels that get a light or medium toast that you hardly notice. The entry is rich with a pure core of apple fruit, citrus, lees, vanilla, wet stone, spice and minerality. As fresh as it is the textures are creamy, round and sophisticated.
