The Tokaji region is famous for the creation of the sweet wine Tokaji Aszù. The higher the “Puttonyos” number (which ranges from 3 to 6), the sweeter the wine. Look for attractive aromas of dried pear, fig, honeycomb and orange peel in this wine. It’s moderately sweet with a balancing vein of acidity, and will make an excellent partner for foie gras, blue-veined cheeses or crème brûlée.
