A great value, tightly woven pinot noir with well-integrated flavours despite its relative youth. Not a push-over...

Really funky nose of marshmallow, nail polish, wax, cherry, vanilla oak and earthy notes (mushroom) - very odd and intriguing at the same time. The palate is structured and balanced with cherry cola, earthy iron notes. Nice composed and fairly long finish. I loved it for its oddness.

While this isn't a mindblower, this is exactly what a Pinot Noir should be (high marks for value). Lovely cherry, raspberry, and plum along with some spice and earthy notes. On the palate, it's medium-full bodied with the tart red fruit shining through. The acidity is quite high and the tannins are quite grippy, suggesting this could lay down for a couple years. Tasted November 2012.

Definitely agree with other posters. Fine Burgundian Pinot at a ery fair price. Red fruit (mostly cherry) + some cinnamon and rhubarb. Tart, but food friendly. Feel the elegance and ageing potential. Celebrity equivalent: Ratatouille (from the animated movie)..
