Tried it with a Chicken Biryani (not overly spicy) and it paired amazingly well! It overly brought out the notes people have described here.

This wine has a beautiful very dark, clear ruby colour. The flavours were very rich and layered and kind of loud even. Delicious soft nose of black cherry and chocolate with a bit of raspberry. I found it smooth but at the same time brightly dry and acidic. Oddly enough it is also earthy and cedary. I liked it best by itself because I could taste all these opposing flavours but it also went fine with red meat. I have only tried it once though so maybe there are better food pairings to bring out its flavour. After consideration, I decided I also like the suitably, film noir-esque name.

This bottle is all about the juicy, bright, red fruit. There's accompanying notes of earth and spice for a little depth, and it's got an acidic kick on the palate. Overall, it's bright, light and easy to drink. I liked it slightly chilled.
