The 2011 Errazuriz Estate Carmenere is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with appealing aromas of raspberry, blackberry, smoke, oak and vanilla. It has refined, dusty tannins (decant for 30 min), is on the acidic side and has a medium to long finish. It is food friendly; drink 2015-17 - cellar standing up (screw cap). My impression: NICE, 88 pts - not a usual Carmenere, yet a nice wine altogether. Tasted Jan/13.
