This wine opens up with a characterful nose exuding of maple-smoked bacon, old leather, paprika, some mushroom, delightfully dungy black fruits and a hint of shoe polish. Nice soft, meaty texture, chewy-dusty medium tannin and a finish reminiscent of black-pepper-strewn steak. Fairly long - a great, interesting buy for 20 bucks!
