A rich, deep Chianti Classico that is still quite youthful. Tannins are smooth and acidity is firm but there is...

This wine was a value standout for me at the Chianti Classico tasting last week. I'm putting it on my shopping list for the 26th release.

Solid Chianti. Deep cassis, plum, chocolate and herbal aromas also come through nicely on the palate. It's lithe but balanced - drinking nicely now but has the tannic structure to grow up some with a few years in the cellar. I enjoyed it with braised beef.
