Purchased from Enoteca di Piazza Montalcino (a lovely enoteca in town) in 2005, this is a very ripe Brunello, with masses of dark fruit, with hints of leather and mushrooms. All that ripeness is kept in balance by good acidity and fine tannin. Lingering finish. Really a lovely wine. Euro 29.50 (about $C42), and more than worth it. Drink now or hold for up to 5 more years.
