Fresh red berries fruits, with notes of sour cherries. Quite a fine backbone of acidity, especially for a wine grown in such a warm region. Not particularly complex, but nicely made and a good food wine - I should think it would match well to pizza or simple tomato-based pasta dishes. More than fairly priced at about $13.
