This medium bodied, flavoursome pinot packs well-defined sour cran-cherry fruit topped with clove spice and cocoa....

A medium bodied fairly rustic pinot with coarse aromas and raw flavours. Expect aromas of red cherry and raspberry...

Tasted Sept. 2012. Very hot off the start (didn't really decant very long), but once left to it's own devices for a bit, settled down into some nice sour cherry flavours with some spicy undertones. Like a tart cherry pie with a hint of cinnamon and allspice dashed on top.

When it come to cheap Pinot, I'm always intrigued... always looking for the one... like in the matrix when they find Neo...unfortunately this wine is not an amazing find. It's typical for the price, a bit hollow on the mid palate, the fruit is a tad austere and the finish is short. there is some nice creamy berry vanilla favours that satisfied me and it is well structured with some noticeable tannins. Just wish it went that extra mile. Rosewood's Pinot is the only Ontario pinot for under $20 that has really surprised me.
