A very light colour with green tinges belies the intensity and pungency in the glass. The nose is all about fresh fruit with tropical notes, green apples, apricot, grapefruit and lime along with that greenness and cat's pee one expects. But the palate, while displaying replays, hones in on the acidity, minerality and bitterness. Vibrant acidity for sure and medium plus finish as lime and minerality crescendo. April 2026.
A bit leaner and more pungent that the '23 I had a couple of summers ago. Still, some tropical fruit notes appear along side the citrus and green flavours. Brisk acidity and fine complexity here. Just a superb Sauvignon again from Auntsfield, lovely indeed in the summer heat. Picked up on sale for about $18 which is simply a steal (Still great value at its regular $22 price), Drink over the next couple of years.
