Cono Sur typically over-delivers for the price..in this case it over-delivers on the nose, but not on the palate. Nice aromatics promised a great valued Riesling but alas in the mouth there was nothing to write home about...ho-hum.

Average. Ok for the price.

Apple, pear, and hints of petrol on the nose. Some crisp acidity on the palate but slight inbalance between the sweetness and acidity. Keep for 2-3 years.

Straw colour, deep for a young wine. Immediate tropical, fruity aromas but the classic crushed rock aromas of Riesling. Banana and white peach, apricot and apple on the nose.Citrus, pear, mango and slight minerality flavours with a good ripe mouthfeel. Med bodied, great example of a warm climate Riesling, excellent valure, will buy againg. Enjoyed with crispy skinned Perch with lemon butter. Tasted Aug '11
