It's only wine but I like it
What a wonderful and distinctive red this is from Reyneke, a producer that I have not tried before that I can recall. Black fruits, laced with herbs, black pepper and cured meat. Really calls to mind a north Rhone syrah. Odd that they bother to put Cab Sauv in the label given that it makes up 2% (the rest being Syrah, ooops, Shiraz). Great wine, drinking just perfectly now. Really hope to see more Reyneke wines in the Vintages in the near future. Tasted Aug 2026.
