Organic & vegan. Fresh, fragrant & highly aromatic nose has a lovely, balanced & complex mix of dark red cherry, strawberry, spices, earthy-stony minerality & beetroot aromas. Mid-weighted w/ very good concentration on elegant palate w/ smooth, gentle & refined tannins, along w/ fresh, juicy acidity. Very nicely balanced w/ lovely dark red cherry, strawberry, earthy beetroot & spices, plus touches of plum flavours surrounding a stony mineral core. Supple mouthfeel w/ tea leaf notes emerging on mid-palate, while finish is exceptionally long w/ lingering stony mineral notes. Tasted July 2023.

A lovely Canterbury Pinot showing a complexity of flavours including sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, baking spice (nutmeg, cinnamon), black pepper, an herbal sage-like note and minerality. Medium plus acidity keeps things vibrant and the tannins are on the soft side, typical for Pinot. Length is excellent. Drinking nicely now and has the acidity and concentration to show well for another few years. Dec. 2023.
