100% Sangiovese from the Castellina UGA. The medium to medium+ intensity nose seems a bit shy, offering aromas of dark cherry and savoury nuances. It's medium-full bodied on the dry, flavourful palate with lovely clove, sweet spice, dark cherry, subtle oak, and vanilla notes. It has well-balanced acidity, while the tannins still seem a bit youthful. Savoury wood spices and cherry notes linger on the long, delicious finish. Tasted May 2022.
