Quite bright and open air Côtes de Bourg here with red berry notes all the way through. Simplicity in basic Bordeaux...

It's only wine but I like it

So refreshing to taste a Bordeaux that is not overwhelmed by masses of oak and tannin. This cheeky little right-banker is mostly Merlot as one would expect, but with a significant dose of Cab Sauv. Ripe and delicious, with no hard edges and a fine finish. Clever stuff indeed and now I wish that I had bottle a few more bottles at $16. Drinking well now, should hold a couple or fe more year or thereabouts. Tasted Jun 2024.
