Celene Améthyste Blanc De Noirs Brut Crémant De Bordeaux, Aop, France, Traditional Method
Critic Reviews (3)
This is a fairly rare blanc de noir traditional method sparkler from Bordeaux, made from a base of cabernet franc...
A touch oxidative, smoky, green herbs, enzymatic, notable sweetness, somewhat electric and frankly all over the map....
Oxidative and sweet, with sharp acids and basic length. Modest interest here in this tank-method bubbly. Drink now....

This blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot has fragrant, medium-high intensity nose featuring toasty, red currant, orchard fruit, red berry, cherry, apple, and pear aromas. It's light-to-medium bodied and dry on the palate with delicious cherry, currant, orchard fruit, and lemon flavours. Acids are clean and fresh, along with finely beaded and crisp bubbles. Interesting and complex throughout, with a long and balanced finish. Tasted Aug. 2026.
