Such a solid producer of archetypical Cape chenin! This mid-weight, rounded, just off dry but balanced edition...

A very bright and vibrant chenin blanc. So much character here, salty, tangy and with a pleasurable chalky/oily...

South Africa can provide some of the best price/quality ratios available in the wine world, particularly from its signature white varietal Chenin. The Radford Dale is case in point, along with Ken Forrester's Chenin (both in the $18 range). A fairly complex nose of pear, lime and peach fruit is complemented by sage and minerality. The palate is slightly viscous (lees contact) and the colour is more gold than lemon. Of course, the acidity is vibrant as one would expect from Chenin, and the length is excellent. Jan. 2022.

Nice complex white with oak on the nose and palate along with honey, apricot, pear, cream ,banana and even a hint of pepper at the end. Went well with spicy dish.

From 35 to 40 year old vines. 30% naturally fermented in small, Burgundian barrels. The clean, medium+ intensity nose delivers white peach, stone fruit, and herbal aromas with touches of saline. It's medium-full bodied with very good fruit concentration on the creamy textured palate with nicely dry aroma replays plus some leesy characters on the flavour profile. Excellent length on the finish. Tasted Oct/2019. Score: 90+ pts
