This is a quite lifted, lovely nose of sour red cherry, strawberry, floral and herbs. Some acetic on my first tasting...

My first Alsatian Pinot Noir. Pale ruby coloured in the glass. Ripe fruit dominates the nose with notes of stewed strawberry, raspberry, cherry, blackberry, cassis, rhubarb, sweet leather, cigar box, and a slight kerosene note I have come to expect from the region. The wine is dry, medium bodied, high acidity, and soft tannins that have an edge on the finish.

This review is more of a yes please or no thank you opinion. For tasting notes, consult a Som.

The general body and flavour of this wine was ok, it is a little on the acidic side.

The bottle I tried was not off, but there are tangible off notes in the wine such as rotten strawberry or rotten pomegranate.

There are better wines in the collection than this one.
