As with the 2017, the nose is highly aromatic and at first whiff, you'll feel you just pulled this from a fumarole! Will settle, but this is a polarising wine.

Lots of smoke, burnt match, black pepper, and ripe fruit - some left on the ground - tarragon and sage. All this overlays red fruits.

Deeply savoury on the palate, lots of acid, but not strong tannins.

A lot going on here, and develops further in the glass. Tasted January 2020.
