I was very surprised how much I enjoyed this wine considering the last two years it had ratings of 88 and 87. The nose had pepper, dark fruit and a little leather. The taste was dark fruit, and nicely balanced. I was enjoying the taste and balance of this wine so much that I wanted to go higher than 91, but it just was not complexed enough to deserve a higher rating. I was very happy with this. If I had a case and I had to have this over the next 12 weeks, I would have no issue with that.
