Classically minty-fresh Margaret River cabernet here, showing little signs of age six years in. Ripe cassis and...

A 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River, South Australia. This batch was aged in 21 barriques or French oak barrels for 16 months. You can smell this wine from a mile away. Blackberry jam, very prominent oak, vanilla and mint. Some fennel, lavender. It has a dusty chalky texture that coats your tongue, prolonging the minty finish. Tannins are medium, acid low, alcohol high. Not to be confused with the regular Ring Bolt that isn't the 21 Barriques batch (and half the price). Heavenly wine.
