Kenwood Jack London Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Sonoma Mountain, Sonoma County
California, Usa$39.95
Montes Purple Angel 2015, Do Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$62.95
Fantastic. Explosion of the senses. Perennial winner.
Ramsay Petite Sirah 2015, North Coast
California, Usa$24.25
FIRST BOTTLE: I did not register anything in the area of a 93 pt. wine. My bottle was oxidized and hopefully not representative of the product. Or it is just bad. In any event this should be consumed sooner than later. UPDATE May 2019. Second bottle was far better. 90/91, Smooth, well integrated, nice mouth feel, etc. Well worth the second attempt. Ready now.
Lake Breeze Bernoota Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Langhorne Creek
South Australia, Australia$20.75
Very tasty blend. Big dark fruit flavours, long finish, nicely done. Great with grilled beef. Ready now, but this should hold for a few years easily.
Rolly Gassmann Rotleibel De Rorschwihr Auxerrois 2007, Ac Alsace
Alsace, France$15.75
Sweet but not cloying, much like a late harvest Reisling, this was very enjoyable with bacon-wrapped, cream cheese stuffed jalepanos. Terrific.
Marques De Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Chile$22.95
Not getting the 92 pts. A touch green for me. Decent at the sale price.
Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay 2019, Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$26.95
Decent wine but I was disappointed based on the reviewer ratings. Not a repeat buy at that price point.
Trapiche Terroir Series Finca Ambrosia Single Vineyard Malbec 2014, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$42.95
Great with Bacon-wrapped fillets on the BBQ. Big nose, smooth, bold taste - just a touch of heat at the end but still a great bottle.
