Riesling from four different vintages; 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017. Smelled like jasmine, flint, pear, lemon, old honey, and mango. Nice fresh flavours of lime, mango, papaya, petrol, and white pepper. Medium plus finish and acidity. - feb 2024

Il Molino Di Grace Riserva Chianti Classico 2018, Docg

I loved the 2015 of this but this is not ready, but lots of potential.

Aromas of tobacco, oak,smoke and hint of cranberry.

Palate is oregano, oak, and red fruit Medium acidity with medium chalk tannins and short finish. Try again in 2025

Caparzo Brunello Di Montalcino 2015, D.O.C.G.

Aromas of dried herbs, sweet tobacco, and floral notes. Leather emerges, followed by red currant and perfume after some time. A juicy wine of cherry, cranberry, tobacco, dried herbs, perfume, pepper, and menthol. A hint of chalky tannins on the medium finish.- March 2025

Bachelder Lowrey Old Vines Pinot Noir 2020, VQA St. David's Bench, Niagara Peninsula

The wine has a lovely aroma of cranberry, cherry, potting soil, and blueberry. On the palate, you will taste tart flavors of cherry, cranberry, citrus, and a hint of prune with a mineral finish. The finish is quick, but the wine is a delight to drink and pairs fantastically with frits. - April 2024

Stags' Leap Winery Petite Sirah 2017, Napa Valley

What a deep purple wine with aromas of blackberry, cream, raspberry, and oak. Flavours of blackberry, cassis, potpourri, black pepper, cocoa, and vanilla. Dry medium finish with high acidity and medium tannins.

Emiliana Coyam 2018, Los Robles Estate, Colchagua Valley

Medium aromas of game, potting soil, paprika, raspberry, perfume, blueberry, and cassis. The flavours mirrored the nose, but after 90 min, the fruits became juicier and ripe, with hints of vanilla, pepper, minerals, and menthol. It had a long finish with soft tannins. Overall, it was a nice, complex wine, much better than the 2019.- Nov 2024

La Réserve De Léoville Barton 2015, Ac St Julien

Deep purple wine, with high-intensity aromas of perfume, cassis, potting soil, and oak. This is before 90 minutes of decanting. The palate was the same with some minerals, leather, and some chalky tannins.

After 90 minutes it became fruitier, perfumy, with some cedar, and less powerful with raspberry and plum. Low tannins and high acidity. A good food wine that everyone will enjoy.

Scacciadiavoli Montefalco Sagrantino Secco 2016, D.O.C.G.

Soon as I took the cork off the aromas came bursting out. Dark red fruit, iron, perfume, game, cheese, and dried herbs. Flavors of red plum, red currant, raspberry, tomato, spice, and menthol. medium finish with medium plus acidity. Very good with pizza, olives, and sage-based dishes. -2024

Kir Yianni Le Nord Assyrtiko 2020, I.G.P. Florina

Aromas of grass and pear. Tasted like pear, apple, grapefruit, lime, and salt. High acidity and long finish, fantastic with greek food of course.

Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay 2020, W.O.

Creamy on the nose along with grapefruit, banana, and candied ginger. A rush of grapefruit on the tongue along with honey, grass, lemon zest, and pepper. Great job with the oak integration.
