Christian Hamel

Christian Hamel is a Toronto-based Wine Director, importer, and sommelier. He currently leads the wine program at Harbour Sixty and is the owner of Pelican Wines Import. A WSET Diploma holder and winner of Best Sommelier of Ontario 2024, he is recognized for his constant pursuit and sharing of knowledge across the world of wine, from benchmark classic regions to emerging and lesser-known terroirs. His work is rooted in thoughtful curation, service excellence, and a broad, inclusive vision of wine, showcasing all styles with an approach that often considers wine appreciation through a demographic and guest-centered lens. He currently is preparing for the upcoming Master Sommelier examination.
