Wines of Argentina – Happy Hour
Friday, April 22 at 6 p.m. on Zoom
Join critics John Szabo M.S. and Michael Godel on Friday evening, April 22, for a WineAlign cocktail hour taste-along as they take you through four true-to-place wines from Argentina. Sip, savour and become proficient in high-altitude viticulture as John and Michael recollect and share from their collective Argentina experience. There will be tales of the capital Buenos Aires, micro-terroirs in Mendoza and Patagonia, and extreme desert grape-growing from Salta. One hour later you may just find yourself dreaming of travel to South America, your mind’s eye swimming with images of snow-capped Andes Mountains and endless vineyard vistas. John and Michael will guarantee to keep a weekend cocktail vibe alive during this fun and casual hour, maybe even teaching you a thing or two about signature Argentinian grape varieties and where they thrive, in and out of their “altitude extrema” locations.
